Milwaukee made a significant lineup change prior to Game 2, sliding Nikola Mirotic in at the four, thus moving Sterling Brown into a reserve role. This was likely done to create more offensive firepower in the lineup and add a knockdown shooter in the starting lineup. Nikola only scored nine points in his 25 minutes of play, but he helped them to spread the floor more, and it certainly made a difference.
Boston, on the other hand, didn’t do too many things well in the second half. They fought back early in the third quarter to get within four. The Bucks would eventually go on a 30-2 tear and completely break the game open. It was as if Boston was shooting on a hoop that had an invisible man sitting on the back of the rim, swatting all of their shots away. They have to be better, and they know it.

Bucks at Celtics stats
Bucks: They were launching threes at will, and hit 20 of 47, a playoff-franchise record for the Bucks. They made 25 of 31 foul shots and did a great job of limiting their turnovers. They were dominant on the glass, pulling in 54 rebounds, something that played a big part in the win. Khris Middleton scored 28, while Giannis added 29 points and 10 boards. Eric Bledsoe scored 21, while both Pat Connaughton and George Hill provided great minutes off the bench. The Bucks were moving and grooving (shoutout to Clyde Frazier), and hope to keep it going.
Celtics: If there’s one thing we’ve learned about Kyrie Irving from his years in Cleveland, it was that he will never have two bad playoff games in a row. After making just four shots and scoring nine points in Game 2, he is poised for redemption. Gordon Hayward was unproductive with five points in 31 minutes, as he cannot put so little on the scoreboard while serving as the sixth man. Marcus Morris led the way with 17 points, but you will not win many playoff games with him leading your attack. They need other players to step their game up.
Bucks at Celtics H2H
When these teams met in the postseason last year, it was the first time they had done so in 31 years. This is the sixth all-time playoff meeting between them, with the Bucks’ only series win coming back in 1983. They swept the guys in green to book a trip to the conference finals. The home team has primarily dominated in their showdowns over the past two years.
