Toronto had their opportunities in Game 5, but they could not pick up the victory. Their loss marked the fourth game in a row this series in which the road team has come away as the victor. With the series shifting to The Bay tonight, they have to hope that this trend continues, and they can put it to bed. Can they get it done?
Golden State, on the other hand, should be very proud of its effort from Game 5. This was supposed to be the turning point in the series, with KD coming back. He got hurt after just 12 minutes on the floor and three made triples. He went down early, but it did not cost them the game, because the Splash Brothers were rolling all night long, especially in the clutch. They came out on top, and are a win away from forcing Game 7.

Raptors at Warriors stats
Raptors: They had plenty of offensive help when they needed it last game, until the final three minutes. Kawhi was in a groove in the fourth quarter and ended up with 26-12-6, plus a pair of blocks and steals. Kyle Lowry led the team in minutes played at 42, and had 18-4-6, though he missed a few shots late. Marc Gasol was hot early, and he scored 17 points. Ibaka added 15 off the bench, while VanVleet poured in 15. Danny Green failed to make a three, while Pascal Siakam only made six out of his 15 attempts from the floor. Who steps up for them tonight? That answer will determine if they finish the day as a champ, or having to play a Game 7.
Warriors: After KD went down following his hot start, DeMarcus Cousins entered the game for the first time. He scored seven points on the team’s next three possessions, giving them the instant boost that they had needed. He would finish with a bench-high 14 points in an also leading 19 minutes. Steph Curry had 31 points, while Klay had 26, each logging north of 41 minutes, continuing to grind for every second they played. Outside of those two plus Cousins, nobody made more than four shots, something that may have to change for tonight’s showdown.

Golden State has been listed as a favorite by seven points or less five times without KD at home, going 1-4 straight up, and 0-5 against the spread. Also worth noting that GS has never dropped three straight home playoff games under Steve Kerr in the 55 they’ve played.
