The Lions early season struggles continue after losing a close game to the Dallas Cowboys, 26-24. The Lions took both games from the Packers last season, who were without Aaron Rodgers after he broke his collarbone which placed him on the IR. Nonetheless quarterback Matthew Stafford was dominant in both victories averaging 342 passing yards and 2.5 touchdowns. Stafford has thrown for 1,202 yards, eight touchdowns, and five interceptions thus far in 2018. On the other side, Rodgers has posted 1,130 yards, seven touchdowns, and just one interception.

The teams best edge defender Ezekiel Ansah has played just 19 total snaps due to injury. The Green Bay offensive line has struggled to protect Rodgers so far giving up an average of 3.5 sacks per game. Detroit’s offense has always had the ability to keep them in games no matter how much the defense struggles. Golden Tate is coming off a game where he torched the Cowboys secondary, posting eight catches for 132 yards and two touchdowns. It was also another strong showing for rookie running back Kerryon Johnson who scored his first touchdown in Sunday’s loss to the Cowboys.

Randall Cobb missed the Packers Week 4 matchup against the Bills with a hamstring injury. The team can now add Geronimo Allison to the injury report who is week to week with a concussion. Rookie receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling is the next man up on the depth chart.

For the second week in a row now Packers running back Aaron Jones has been the most productive runner in that crowded backfield. Really only battling with Jamaal Williams in carries, as Ty Montgomery works more as a pass-catcher, Jones carried the ball 11 times against the Bills for 65 yards and a rushing touchdown. Detroit is coming off a game where they allowed 152 yards on the ground to Ezekiel Elliott.
