Bears vs. Bills Preview, Tips, & Odds

The Bears got off to a quick start this year but have dropped two of their last three games to sit at 4-3 on the year. The Bills didn’t get off too much of a start as they sit at 2-6. The Bears are still in the playoff hunt for the NFC North but the Bills are pretty much out of the race in the AFC due to competing with the Patriots and a 2-6 start. This game is not going to be pretty as both teams have struggled this year.

Bears vs. Bills Odds

The Bears are favored in this game to win by 10 points. The over under on the game is 37 points so was can expect the final score to be right around 23-13. The money line on the Bears is -550 while the Bills money line is +400.

Spread: Bears -10

O/U: 37

Bears vs. Bills Head to Head

These two teams have only met 12 times in their history with the Bears having an edge in the series 7-5. The last game between these two teams was on September 7th, 2014, a game which the Bills won 23-20. The last time the Bears won in Buffalo was back in 2002. The Bears have won four of their five games at home and are 1-5 on the road in this series.

Bears vs. Bills Stats

The Bills offense is downright awful. They are only scoring 10.9 points a game and over the past five, they have scored 36 total points. They beat the Titans 13-12 and scored 13 the next week in a loss to the Texans, but besides those two games they have scored six, five, and zero points. The defense isn’t much better, but it has been solid. They only allow 343.4 yards a game to opposing teams while allowing 25.0 points a game.

The Bears are moving the ball well this year. They are scoring 27.2 points a game and are gaining 396.7 yards a game. The defense isn’t too far behind as they give up an average of 346.1 points a game.

Bears vs. Bills News

Bears star defensive player Khalil Mack has been listed as questionable for this weekend’s game and won’t practice until Friday. Guard Kyle Long has been listed as out for the game and Zach Miller is still on the injured reserve due to a gruesome ankle injury. The Bills starting quarterback Josh Allen has been ruled out and backup Derek Anderson is listed as questionable. Nathan Peterman would be in his place if he was unable to start.

Bears vs. Bills Predictions

The Bears should easily take this game as they have a much more talented roster than the Bills. They are able to move the ball more effectively and can get it into the end zone. The Bills have been awful on offense and against this defense I don’t see them scoring many more points. Look for the Bears to win in a blowout as the Bills simply won’t score.
