Both teams are on the outside looking in as far as the playoff picture is concerned. They are each one game out from the second place record in their divisions, but it seems further than that. For the Titans, the Houston Texans have been the class of the division nearly all season long, and for the Giants, well they started slow, found some wins, and still find themselves out of the playoff scene. The Division has never looked to be in their hands, despite being up for grabs for most of the year. For most of the season, it looked to be a runaway year for the Redskins, but then their starting quarterback went down with a broken leg. Since then, the Cowboys emerged as the new favorite.
Titans vs. Giants Odds

Titans vs. Giants Head to Head
These two do not play each other often. Their last game, a game in which the Giants won 36 – 7, came back in 2014. Before that, the Titans had won two straight by scores of 29 – 10 and 24 – 21 dating back to 2006.
Titans vs. Giants Stats
Most statistics for the New York Giants this season have been mediocre at best. Their offense is ranked as the 18th best in the league, mostly thanks to Eli Manning’s right arm. Their passing game ranks as the league’s 13th best, while their rushing game is 22nd. As for their defense though, well they aren’t much for talking about either. They currently rank as the 21st best around the league. As for the Titans, they rank in the top ten as far as defenses go. On offense, though, well that’s a different story. They can really run the ball pretty well, coming in at 11th in the NFL, but passing the football is not quite so easy for them. They rank 28th in passing yardage. The combined statistic leaves them at a lowly 28th rank in total offensive production.
Titans vs. Giants News
Winning four of five games has to be a nice change of scenery for the New York Giants, but can it be sustainable? Saquon Barkley looks like a youthful veteran at times, but can the Giants rely on his production week in and week out? What about Eli? Is he back to his old form? As for the Titans, all eyes are on Marcus Mariota. His recent injuries have put as a major question mark on the season and Tennessee’s ability to march into the AFC wildcard spot. If they do not make the playoffs, this season has to be considered a failure. I understand it is Mike Vrabel’s first year with the team, but Mariota’s window is closing. His wheels won’t last him too much longer if he continues to injure himself so either getting into the playoffs or securing higher draft choices to help him get over the hurdle, that’s the mark of a successful season for them at this point.
Titans vs. Giants Predictions
Tennessee can control the ball with their running back tandem and their defense can keep the Giants to minimal touches. This game will go down similarly to how the Bears game went for the Giants a few weeks ago, except Mariota is lightyears better than Chase Daniel, and more dynamic at that. I’ll take the Titans to edge the Giants by a score of 23 – 17.
