Worth mentioning: Belgium will have to fight to for their place in Euro 2022, after failing to win their League of Nations group and thus to ensure another option for qualification. The Red Devils were beaten 5:2 by Switzerland in a direct battle for the top spot and later their coach admitted that his team “forgot to defend” during the game. Three of their last five outings produced over 2,5 goals and the same number of games witnessed goals at both ends. When playing as hosts the Belgium team is undefeated in nineteen consecutive games, with their last loss dating back to 2016 when they lost 0:2 to Spain.
The Russians shared the same feat as their Friday opponents in the League of Nations, as they lost the last game in their group and thus failed to claim top spot. None of their last four matches saw both teams to score and only one featured over 2,5 goals. Russia won only won of their last five visits, while recording losses in all of the other games(Not counting the World Cup games where Russia were listed as visiting team).
