Chelsea’s Cole Palmer wins Premier League’s POTM for April

Chelsea’s forward Cole Palmer has been selected as Premier League’s player of the month for April. The 22 year old has taken part in 4 matches during the previous month, missing only the London derby with Arsenal, scoring 7 goals and assisting for one more in the process. Palmer managed to score in two of his four outings, but hit a hat-trick against Manchester United on 4th of April and just 11 days later bettered that accomplishment by scoring 4 against Everton.

By winning POTM award, Palmer becomes the 1st Chelsea player to do so since Eden Hazard in 2018. On top of that, he becomes the first English player to win the trophy while playing for the Londoners since Frank Lampard in 2008. Since his transfer to Chelsea from Manchester City last summer, Palmer has established himself as a key figure at Stamford Bridge, recording a total of 24 goals and 13 assists in 42 matches across all tournaments.
