Brighton is making moves in the transfer market, both with outgoing and incoming players. Regarding outgoing transfers, Leicester City has secured a deal to sign Facundo Buonanotte on loan from the Seagulls. Despite reports suggesting interest from Feyenoord, Leicester worked behind the scenes and successfully completed the deal. The agreement does not include a buy option clause, ensuring Buonanotte’s return to Brighton after the loan period.

Stuttgart has also agreed on a deal with Brighton for Deniz Undav. The striker, who spent last season on loan at Stuttgart, had an impressive campaign, scoring 19 goals and providing 10 assists in 33 matches. His performance was key in helping Stuttgart secure a 3rd place finish and a spot in the Champions League. The agreement is for a €30m package plus add-ons, fulfilling Undav’s desire to make his move to Stuttgart permanent after prolonged negotiations.
On the incoming side, Brighton is actively working on several deals. The club has reached an agreement on personal terms with Ferdi Kadioglu, and negotiations with Fenerbahce are ongoing. Brighton has made a new and improved offer of around €35m, including bonuses, to secure the midfielder.
In addition, the club is considering signing Mats Hummels as a free agent. There has been a recent phone call between Brighton’s coach Fabian Hurzeler and Hummels, discussing the club’s project and the defender’s ambitions. The club is open to bringing in Hummels for his experience and leadership in central defence. The 35-year-old has yet to make a final decision on whether to continue his career or retire.
