Denzel Dumfries has agreed to a new contract with Inter, keeping him at the club until June 2028. The Dutch right-back was previously out of contract in June 2025, but the new deal, set to be signed in the coming days, extends his stay for an additional four years.

Dumfries, who joined Inter from PSV Eindhoven in the summer of 2021 for around €14 million, has become a key player for the Italian side. Since then, he has made 137 appearances, scoring 12 goals and providing 20 assists for the club. Internationally, Dumfries has earned 60 caps for the Netherlands national team, with an impressive tally of 7 goals from his defensive position.
However, this season, Dumfries has seen limited game time, mostly coming off the bench. His only start so far coincided with Inter’s 1-2 defeat to rivals AC Milan last Sunday, marking the team’s first loss of the season. Despite the reduced role, the club has shown faith in the Dutchman by securing his long-term future with the new contract.
As Inter looks to bounce back from their recent loss, Dumfries’ experience and versatility will be crucial in their push for domestic and European success. The new deal solidifies his place at the club, ensuring he remains a part of the Nerazzurri’s plans for the foreseeable future.
