Salah has become only the second player to win the award three times. Before him, this feat was only achieved by Arsenal’s legendary striker Thierry Henry. Salah previously won the award in 2018 and 2022.
The 32-year-old Egyptian scored 33 goals and provided 23 assists for Liverpool across all competitions. Of those, 28 goals and 18 assists came in the Premier League — a combined 46 goal involvements, the most ever by a player in a single 38-game campaign in the competition.
Second place in the voting went to Salah’s teammate, Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk. Newcastle striker Alexander Isak finished third, while Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice secured fourth place.
More than 900 members of the Football Writers’ Association participated in the vote. Among women, Arsenal star Alessia Russo won the award.
