    Key Takeaways:

  • Manchester City reached agreement with Milan for Tijjani Reijnders in a deal worth up to €70M
  • The Dutch midfielder played 54 games for Milan in 2023/24, recording 15 goals and 5 assists
  • Reijnders will sign a five-year contract, with City also working on deals for Rayan Cherki and Rayan Ait-Nouri

Manchester City have reached an agreement with AC Milan for midfielder Tijjani Reijnders, according to journalists Gianluca Di Marzio and Fabrizio Romano. The Premier League champions will sign the 26-year-old Dutchman for a total package worth around €70 million, including potential bonuses. According to another journalist, David Ornstein, City will pay a fixed fee of €55 million, with Reijnders set to sign a five-year contract.

The personal terms with the player had already been settled, and all that remained was an agreement between the clubs – something that now appears to be finalised. City’s initial offer of around €60 million was rejected a few days ago.

Reijnders was one of Milan’s standout performers during an otherwise disappointing season. He played 54 matches, scoring 15 goals and providing 5 assists. Despite the Rossoneri extending his contract in March until 2030, their absence from European competitions likely played a role in the decision to sell one of their key players.

City are also working on two more signings – Lyon’s attacking midfielder Rayan Cherki and Wolves left-back Rayan Ait-Nouri. Milan, meanwhile, could replace Reijnders with Real Madrid legend Luka Modric, who is currently a free agent.
