Jhon Duran facing Al-Nassr exit door over off-field concerns

Al-Nassr Colombian striker Jhon Duran

    Key Takeaways:

  • Jhon Duran could leave Al-Nassr just months after joining due to mental and technical concerns
  • Despite scoring 12 goals in 18 games, his off-field issues are worrying the Saudi club’s management
  • A loan move is the most likely option, with several clubs already expressing interest

Jhon Duran could leave Al-Nassr this summer, only a few months after his arrival at the Saudi club. The reason lies in concerns over his mental state and technical qualities, which are troubling the management of the team.

The Colombian striker joined Al-Nassr from Aston Villa in January, and although his statistics appear solid – 12 goals in 18 matches – his off-field issues have seriously impacted his overall performance.

According to reports, personal problems and an unstable mental state have influenced the striker’s form. There are already clubs willing to take him on loan if Al-Nassr decides to part ways, even temporarily.

In April, Duran made headlines when he was filmed riding a motorcycle without a helmet in Colombia. The incident triggered serious criticism and raised questions about his discipline. It was not the first time his off-field behaviour had been called into question.

Al-Nassr is currently considering various options for the 20-year-old striker, with a loan move appearing to be the most probable scenario. The club hopes Duran can regain both his mental balance and his form. A final decision on the case is expected before the start of the team’s pre-season training camp.
