With this move, the Florida team adds a serious scorer to combine with Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner, while also aiming to solve its long-standing issues with long-range shooting.
In the concluded season, the Magic were the worst team in the league in 3-point accuracy with just 31.8%. In Bane, however, they acquire a player who has hit over 800 shots from beyond the arc in five seasons at a 40% success rate. What’s more, he shoots over 43% on catch-and-shoot attempts.
The guard averaged 19.2 points during the past campaign for the Grizzlies, adding 6.1 rebounds and 5.3 assists in 69 games. He has a long-term contract that will keep him in Florida until the summer of 2029.
