Xavi Simons wants to leave RB Leipzig this summer. The 22-year-old Netherlands international desires to take the next step in his career, and there is currently interest from English clubs Tottenham and Manchester United.

Simons joined Leipzig on loan from Paris Saint-Germain in 2023. His move later became permanent for €50 million. Now, the German club’s management are demanding at least €70 million for the forward’s rights. Simons’ current contract runs until the summer of 2027.

So far, the midfielder has made 76 appearances in all competitions for Leipzig, scoring 21 goals and providing 23 assists. During the most recent Bundesliga season, Xavi Simons recorded 10 goals and 5 assists in 25 matches. Leipzig finished in seventh place and will not participate in European competitions next season.

At age seven, Xavi Simons joined FC Barcelona’s renowned La Masia academy, where his exceptional technical skills and vision established him as a standout talent among Europe’s top prospects. In 2019, he signed his first professional contract with Paris Saint-Germain, marking a significant step toward his senior debut in Ligue 1. Before his transfer to RB Leipzig in 2023, Simons made seven appearances for PSG’s first team.
