Nkunku, meanwhile, has struggled to secure a starting role at Chelsea, with Enzo Maresca mostly using him in Conference League matches. The Frenchman has only nine Premier League starts and three goals. His contract with Chelsea runs until 2029. So far, United have not submitted an official offer for Nkunku. The French forward joined Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2023 for £53 million.

The Red Devils have already signed Matheus Cunha and have just submitted a new bid for Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo. Last month, the Bees rejected United’s first offer of £45 million plus an additional £10 million in bonuses. The new bid exceeds £60 million, bringing it closer to Brentford’s asking price.
