As early as the 4th minute, Bradley Barcola received a brilliant pass inside the penalty area and fired a low shot toward the bottom left corner, but the goalkeeper managed to save it. Two minutes later, Vitinha delivered a free kick into the box. Joao Neves escaped his marker and headed the ball low into the centre of the goal to open the scoring.
In the 16th minute, Fabian Ruiz scored, but his goal was disallowed for offside. Shortly after, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia received a short pass and attempted a long-range shot, but the ball went just past the post.
In the 39th minute, PSG made a huge step toward sealing the win. Fabian Ruiz played an excellent pass to Joao Neves, who had no trouble slotting the ball into the net to double the lead.

In the 70th minute, Doue fired from inside the box, narrowly missing the target as the ball flew just past the left post.
Ten minutes before the final whistle, Messi attempted a header toward the bottom left corner, but Donnarumma was well-positioned and saved. The last chance of the match also belonged to the Argentine, but his free kick struck the wall.
