The 22-year-old attacking midfielder for the German champions suffered a serious injury during the quarter-final clash against Paris Saint-Germain (0–2), when he broke and dislocated his ankle, resulting in a fibula fracture. As a result, he was forced to leave the pitch immediately.
Musiala will begin his initial rehabilitation sessions on Tuesday, with expectations that he will be available for the Bavarian club in several months, depending on the pace of his recovery. He is definitely ruled out for the rest of 2025 but will do everything possible to get playing time in the second half of next season in preparation for next summer’s World Cup.
