Key Takeaways:
Bayern Munich’s injured midfielder Jamal Musiala addressed the public to say he does not blame Gianluigi Donnarumma for the serious injury he suffered. A few days ago, during the German side’s Club World Cup quarter-final against Paris Saint-Germain, the attacking midfielder collided with the opposing goalkeeper. As a result, Musiala sustained a fractured ankle and ligament damage. This required surgery, and he is now expected to be sidelined for no less than 5 months.

Donnarumma faced sharp criticism, including from Bayern captain Manuel Neuer, but Musiala indirectly defended him.
“I wanted to say there is no one to blame for this. Situations like this happen” the young German international said in a special video from his hospital bed.
“I want to thank all of you for the love and support. It really means a lot to me. It’s nice to see the football world come together in moments like this. I’m doing well and in safe hands. I’ll use the coming period to regain my fitness. I can’t wait to see you all again,” Musiala added.
