Barcelona have confirmed through an official statement that all issues with the promoter of the friendly match against Vissel Kobe have been resolved and the team departed this morning for Japan, where they will begin their Asian tour with a friendly match on Sunday.

“Barcelona informs that the first team is now travelling to Japan to begin this year’s Asian pre-season tour. This comes after reaching an agreement between the club and the promoter, resolving the previously existing differences and confirming that the friendly against Vissel Kobe will go ahead as planned on 27 July. After the Japan leg of the tour, the team will continue on to South Korea for matches against FC Seoul (31 July) and Daegu FC (4 August),” the official statement from the Catalan club reads.

Meanwhile, the extended squad for the three friendlies has also been announced — a total of 30 players will be available to head coach Hansi Flick. The group includes new signings — goalkeeper Joan Garcia and wingers Roony Bardghji and Marcus Rashford. Initially, the coaching staff was expected to take 26 players, but Flick has decided to give a chance to several young academy talents, who will have the opportunity to prove themselves during the friendlies.
