Manchester United have submitted a loan offer for Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez. However, the proposal from the Red Devils was rejected, reports Fabrizio Romano.

The English giants are in search of a new goalkeeper following an injury to Andre Onana. At Old Trafford, several options are being considered, and no final decision has yet been made on whether to sign an experienced keeper or a younger one.

Another option for the club is Senne Lammens from Antwerp as the 23-year-old has impressed with his performances for the Belgian side.

Manchester United also have an interest in another Aston Villa player — 29-year-old striker Ollie Watkins. From the Birmingham club have told Manchester United that striker Ollie Watkins is not for sale.
