Real Madrid have officially announced their first and so far only friendly match of the summer. The Spanish giants will visit Austrian top-tier side WSG Tirol in Innsbruck on 12 August (Tuesday), as reported by the official website of the club. The match will kick off at 19:00 CET and will be held at Tivoli Stadion Tirol, which has a capacity of 17,000.

Real Madrid reached the semi-finals of the Club World Cup in the United States, and logically the players were granted a longer summer break. Xabi Alonso and his squad are expected to begin pre-season training at the start of next week — on 4 August (Monday). Apart from the friendly against the Austrian side, there may also be matches behind closed doors against the reserve team — Real Madrid Castilla.

On 19 August, Real Madrid will host Osasuna in their first La Liga fixture of the 2025/26 season. The club requested a postponement of the match in order to have more preparation time, but the Spanish Football Federation has so far rejected the request, which has caused discontent within the Los Blancos management.
