The agreement between the two clubs is worth €20+5 million, with 15% of the fixed amount going to the player’s former club Juventus. De Winter will sign a five-year contract with a salary of around €2 million per season. Reports say he chose Milan despite interest from Inter, Tottenham, and Galatasaray. The Rossoneri preferred him over Fiorentina’s Pietro Comuzzo and Parma’s Giovanni Leoni. The Belgian international will undergo his medical examinations on Tuesday or Wednesday and then sign his contract.
After coming through Juventus’ academy, the 23-year-old De Winter joined Genoa in the summer of 2023 for €8 million, making a total of 57 appearances with 3 goals and 1 assist for the Griffins.
