RB Leipzig had been looking for a new striker after Sesko joined Manchester United. Last season, Romulo was the star of his team. In 33 matches across all competitions, the 23-year-old Brazilian scored 17 goals and provided 10 assists. He spent the first half of the season on loan in Turkey, but in January Goztepe secured his services permanently.
The club will record a substantial profit from the transfer, having bought him from Athletico Paranaense for a modest €2.5 million.
