Key Takeaways:
- Napoli have proposed a six-year contract with a €3m net salary to Artem Dovbyk, offering directly to the player
- The club remain engaged in negotiations with Manchester United for Rasmus Hojlund
- Napoli are seeking a new centre-forward following Romelu Lukaku’s thigh injury, which will sideline him for over three months
Napoli’s Striker Hunt Intensifies
Napoli are actively seeking a new centre-forward after Romelu Lukaku sustained a thigh injury that will keep him out for more than three months. The search for a replacement has accelerated, with the club exploring a range of attacking options.
Dovbyk Offered Lengthy Deal
According to Matteo Moretto, Napoli have made a verbal proposal to Roma striker Artem Dovbyk, putting forward a six-year contract accompanied by a €3m net annual salary. This approach has been made directly to the player, and, at this stage, there have been no club-to-club negotiations between Napoli and Roma.

Hojlund Remains in the Frame
Despite making an offer to Dovbyk, Napoli are still holding talks with Manchester United regarding Rasmus Hojlund. Fabrizio Romano reports that discussions are ongoing both with the Red Devils and Hojlund’s representatives. Manchester United are open to allowing the former Atalanta striker to depart, but Hojlund himself is not seeking a move away from Old Trafford. Were he to leave, he would only consider a loan with an obligation to buy, as opposed to a simple option to purchase.
This condition reportedly contributed to Milan’s decision to cease their pursuit of the Denmark international and focus their attention on acquiring Victor Boniface instead.
Other Striker Options
Napoli’s sporting director Giovanni Manna has also enquired about other names, including Andrea Pinamonti and Tolu Arokodare, as Napoli cast a wide net in their search for Lukaku’s replacement.
