Strand Larsen Secures Long-Term Future at Molineux

Wolverhampton Wanderers have confirmed that forward Jorgen Strand Larsen has agreed a new contract lasting until 2030, with the club holding the option to extend the deal for an additional year. This agreement arrives just three months after the Norway international’s move to Wolves was made permanent.

The 25-year-old initially joined from Celta Vigo on a loan arrangement, impressively scoring 14 goals last season and proving instrumental as Wolves secured a 16th-place finish in the Premier League. His performances attracted substantial interest during the summer, with Newcastle United tabling offers of £50m and £55m, both of which Wolves turned down.

Impact and Injury Status

Following his successful loan, the club finalised a £23m transfer to secure Strand Larsen’s services. Since the start of the current campaign, he has registered two goals, both coming in the EFL Cup win over West Ham. However, Strand Larsen has missed the past two matches due to an Achilles injury.

Wolves, yet to claim a point after four Premier League games this season, will welcome Leeds at Molineux on Saturday and are hopeful for the forward’s timely return to action.

Club Leadership and Contract Extensions

Strand Larsen is not the only key figure to have extended his Wolves tenure this week. Head coach Vitor Pereira also committed his future to the club after agreeing a new three-year contract on Thursday.
