Revenue Growth and Player Sales

The club also realised a significant turnover increase of 35 million euros, bringing total revenues to 160 million euros. In comparison, PSV disclosed a turnover of 170 million euros for the same period. Feyenoord attributed much of this financial success to reaching the round of 16 in the Champions League and highlighted increased income from partnerships, memberships, and media rights. The sales of players including Mats Wieffer, Lutsharel Geertruida, and Santiago Giménez further strengthened the club’s financial standing.

Feyenoord’s operating result reached 26 million euros, which is almost double the previous year’s figure. The club noted, “The operating result amounts to 26 million euros, which is almost double compared to the previous year. This is mainly due to reaching the round of 16 in the Champions League. But also, revenues from partnerships, memberships, and media rights showed healthy growth,” and further confirmed the positive impact of player transfers.

Projections for the Coming Seasons

Despite finishing third last season and failing to qualify for the Champions League, Feyenoord remains optimistic about the future. “Participation in the Europa League leads to a significant decline in revenues and operating results compared to 2024/2025, but the outlook remains positive. Thanks in part to the already completed transfers of Dávid Hancko, Igor Paixão, Antoni Milambo, and Quilindschy Hartman, Feyenoord expects a positive net result for 2025/2026 as well,” the club stated.

FC Twente’s Financial Success and Women’s Team Results

Twente also reported notable achievements, with a net profit of 14.8 million euros and turnover climbing by over 20 million euros to a club-record 61.7 million euros in the past season. The club’s financial upturn was attributed to successful player transfers, including Jeffrey de Lange, Robin Pröpper, Ella Peddemors, Alfons Sampsted, Anas Salah-Eddine, Michal Sadílek, Olivia Clark, and Jurre Regeer. Despite the women’s team participating in the Champions League, it closed the season with a negative net result of 2 million euros.
