Details of the Transfer Package
The deal will see Milan pay a total package of approximately €30m, inclusive of bonuses. Of this, Real Madrid – Gila’s former club where he progressed before his 2022 transfer to Lazio – will receive €15m, in line with their entitlement to 50% of the transfer fee. Gila had originally joined Lazio for a reported €6m four years ago.
Initial negotiations saw Milan table an offer of €25m with €2m in add-ons, which Lazio declined. The now-finalised agreement is believed to consist of a fixed sum in the range of €27m-€28m, with further bonuses elevating the deal to €30m.
Contract Terms and Player Profile
Gila, aged 25, is expected to sign a five-year agreement at San Siro, with his annual salary reported to be around €4m-€5m. The Spaniard had entered the final year of his contract with Lazio prior to the move.
The impending arrival of Gila further signals Milan’s intention to reinforce their defensive ranks as they look ahead to the forthcoming campaign.
