- Reports suggest Inter have reached a basic agreement with Roma for Luis Henrique in a deal worth a total of €30m including performance-related bonuses
- Inter are also said to be in advanced negotiations with Lazio over Davide Frattesi, with a loan structure that could become an obligation to buy under certain conditions
- Djed Spence is reportedly eager to join Inter, while Tottenham Hotspur are considering a €30m plus add-ons package
Inter Move Towards Major Squad Changes
Inter appear to be stepping up their transfer activity as they look to move on players who are not considered central to coach Cristian Chivu’s plans. The Nerazzurri need departures before they can generate the funds required for their incoming targets, with Curtis Jones of Liverpool valued at €40m and Djed Spence of Tottenham Hotspur linked with a €30m plus add-ons move.
The developing market strategy involves potential exits for Luis Henrique and Davide Frattesi, while Spence has emerged as a leading option in the search for a successor to Denzel Dumfries, who has moved to Real Madrid.

There’s still no green light to new bid until Davide Frattesi’s exit but Inter definitely will try again for Curtis before the window ends. pic.twitter.com/8U0KPWsc7G

Luis Henrique Agreement With Roma Awaits Player Approval
Sky Sport Italia reports that Inter and Roma have established the framework of a deal for Luis Henrique. The package is valued at a total of €30m including performance-related bonuses, and would initially be structured as a loan with an option to buy. That option would become mandatory if specific conditions are fulfilled during the season.
The next step is for Luis Henrique to approve the move and reach an agreement over personal terms with Roma. The Brazilian, now 24-year-old, arrived in Italy only a year ago from Olympique Marseille in a transfer worth €22.8m plus add-ons. Since joining Inter, he has made 46 competitive appearances, scoring one goal and providing three assists.
Frattesi Talks With Lazio Reach Advanced Stage
Inter are also working on another outbound deal, with Sport Mediaset and Sky Sport Italia both reporting that negotiations are advanced over Davide Frattesi joining Lazio.
As with the Luis Henrique discussions, the proposed formula would be a loan with an option to buy that becomes an obligation if agreed conditions are met. In Frattesi’s case, those conditions would be linked both to team results and to the player’s appearances. Inter could also secure a percentage of any future transfer fee.
Spence Emerges as Key Target After Setbacks in Right-Sided Search
Inter’s pursuit of a replacement for Denzel Dumfries has not been straightforward. Chelsea moved late to secure Atalanta’s Marco Palestra, while Anan Khalaili did not pass a medical after arriving from Union Saint-Gilloise.
That has accelerated interest in Djed Spence, with reports in Italy and England increasingly indicating that Inter could sign him from Tottenham Hotspur for €30m plus add-ons. La Gazzetta dello Sport and Football Italia had already reported that Inter were moving close to an agreement with Tottenham, and The Athletic has since confirmed the same figures in the UK.
All sources agree that Spence is enthusiastic about the possibility of moving to Inter. The Nerazzurri won the Serie A and Coppa Italia Double in 2025-26 and will compete in the Champions League again this term. His flexibility is also viewed as significant, as he can operate on either flank as a full-back or wing-back.
Serie A Experience and Rising Market Value
Spence turned 26 at the weekend and has already experienced Serie A football. He spent the period from January to June 2024 on loan at Genoa from Tottenham Hotspur. Although he was initially expected to serve as back-up to Stefano Sabelli, he forced his way into the starting side on the left flank and finished the spell with 16 competitive appearances.
Genoa held an option to buy him in June 2024 for €10m, but did not activate it. His market value has since more than tripled, with his performances for England at the 2026 World Cup also contributing to the increase.
