Milan Refuse to Shift on Leao Valuation
AC Milan remain firm in their stance over Rafael Leao, with reports in Italy stating that the winger is still valued at €50m despite lengthy talks involving Jorge Mendes at Casa Milan on Wednesday.
Mendes, one of the most influential agents in football, was at Milan’s headquarters for more than six hours across the afternoon and evening. However, there has been no movement from the Rossoneri over the price they want for Leao.
Sources in Italy claim that Mendes is attempting to arrange a swap deal between AC Milan and Manchester City involving Rafael Leao and Ruben Dias.
Under the rumoured structure, Milan would send Leao plus cash to City, with Dias moving in the opposite direction.
Milan are actively attempting to find a buyer for the Portugal international, who has been at San Siro for the last seven years. Leao was also part of the squad that delivered the club’s most recent Scudetto triumph in 2021-22.
After a disappointing 2025-26 campaign, Leao made it clear that he was open to a new challenge abroad. Yet, at this stage of the transfer window, a departure from San Siro has still not materialised.

Mendes Meeting Also Linked to Moreira Deal
While Leao’s future remains unresolved, Mendes was also at Casa Milan as the club worked through the final details of Diego Moreira’s move, which was announced last night.
The last stages of Moreira’s transfer took longer than initially expected, which may explain why Mendes remained at the club’s headquarters for such an extended period on Wednesday. The relationship between the agent and the club has already been active across several deals in recent years, including the recent signings of Moreira, Goncalo Ramos and Joao Felix.
Galatasaray Closest, But Still Short of Milan’s Asking Price
Galatasaray are currently the club to have gone closest to Milan’s valuation, but their offer has only reached slightly above the €40m mark, leaving a gap between what has been proposed and what Milan are prepared to accept.
