Sarr Emerges as a Priority Attacking Target
Liverpool’s transfer focus is reported to have shifted firmly towards Crystal Palace forward Ismaïla Sarr. The Senegalese striker has become one of the club’s leading attacking targets for the closing phase of the summer transfer window.
Sarr had recently been reported as being close to a move to Turkish giants Galatasaray, but Liverpool are said to have shown strong interest in the player in recent hours. No formal bid has yet been submitted to the Eagles’ hierarchy, who are expecting at least €60m before agreeing to sanction a departure.
Even so, discussions between the relevant parties are reportedly already progressing. Sarr is said to be highly receptive to the prospect of moving to Anfield and is reportedly ready to challenge his superiors in order to pursue the move.

The Saint-Louis native returned to England two years ago following a season with Marseille. Since then, he has produced two successful campaigns, with the latest bringing 21 goals and two assists in 45 appearances across all competitions, alongside a Conference League title.
Bajcetic Set for Celta Vigo as Liverpool Agree Midfield Sale
While wide players are dominating the transfer conversation around Anfield, Liverpool’s central midfield has also become a significant talking point. The club recently sold Curtis Jones to Inter in a package totalling £30m, and another midfielder is now on course to leave.
The current central midfield options are Ryan Gravenberch, Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexis Mac Allister, Trey Nyoni, Wataru Endo and Stefan Bajcetic. Of those six players, only Endo and Bajcetic are described as defensive-minded, and both are currently well down the pecking order.
Bajcetic, who is 21-year-old, has endured a difficult spell in England, with injuries repeatedly disrupting his progress. He had entered the final year of his contract and has played less than 60 matches over the last four years due to persistent physical setbacks.
Given those circumstances, Liverpool are only set to receive a nominal fee upfront, but the inclusion of a sell-on percentage could become valuable if Bajcetic rebuilds his career in Spain.
No New Midfielder Planned Despite Double Exit
The departures of Jones and Bajcetic naturally raise the question of whether Liverpool will bring in a replacement in central midfield.
According to Sportingpedia sources, Liverpool had chosen to elevate Trey Nyoni to fourth choice in the midfield hierarchy. Szoboszlai, Gravenberch and Mac Allister are expected to compete for the two starting midfield places, with Nyoni fourth choice and Endo fifth.
