1892 Holdings Involved In Transfer Discussions
Liverpool have been pursuing Barcola for a number of months and have seen several offers rejected by Paris Saint-Germain. However, with an agreement now reached to complete what has been described as a blockbuster move.
Fabrizio Romano revealed that Liverpool’s new investment group, 1892 Holdings, have been actively involved in the discussions and are looking to finalise terms soon in a deal which could be worth $155 million.
1892 Holdings acquired a 38% stake in Liverpool earlier this month. Supporters had been hoping the investment would strengthen the club’s transfer activity, and Romano has indicated that the group have joined multiple figures at the club in working to get the Barcola deal completed.
Contract Situation And PSG Exit
Barcola has agreed personal terms with Liverpool and the deal is moving closer to completion. The winger had become frustrated with his role at PSG and informed the Ligue 1 champions that he would not sign a new contract. He also made clear that he wanted to test himself in the Premier League with Liverpool.
PSG are reportedly seeking top dollar for the forward, who played with France at this summer’s World Cup and contributed goals for Les Bleus.

Luis Campos Leaves Door Open
PSG chief Luis Campos recently addressed the futures of Barcola and his teammate Ibrahim Mbaye, who is wanted by Bayern Munich. Campos suggested that departures could still happen before the window closes, while comparing the situation to last year’s late deal involving Donnarumma.
“In terms of departures, we’ll see what happens regarding Barcola and Mbaye. I understand your questions about them, but you also have to understand my position.
“We’ll see what happens at the end of the window, remember last year with Donnarumma, it was done at the end of the window. We’ll see.”
