Ancelotti Removes Fernandez-Pardo From First-Team Training
LOSC Lille manager Davide Ancelotti confirmed today that Matias Fernandez-Pardo has been excluded from the first-team group until the close of the transfer window.
“I have decided, in consultation with the club, that he will no longer train with the squad until the end of the transfer window,” the Italian announced at a press conference. “I am focusing on the players who are available for tomorrow’s match and who are training with us.”

The decision means Fernandez-Pardo will play no part in Lille’s Friday home fixture against Paris Saint-Germain at the Décathlon Arena. The Belgian has made it clear that he wants to leave LOSC this summer, with Newcastle United and Atlético Madrid reportedly interested in signing him.
Transfer Stand-Off Continues Before 1st September Deadline
Fernandez-Pardo is now hoping to complete a move before 1st September. However, the Brussels-born player remains under contract with LOSC until 2029, and the club’s management reportedly value him at around €70m.
That valuation is considered significant enough to potentially reduce the appetite of his suitors, although those clubs are still expected to keep pursuing his signature in the coming days. Lille have also insisted that they want to keep the Belgian, despite his determination to leave.
Lille Look at Martin Terrier as Attacking Cover
As the situation around Fernandez-Pardo remains unresolved, Lille have opened talks with Bayer Leverkusen over a possible deal for Martin Terrier.
The French forward has been identified as a target as Lille seek to protect their attacking options. Lille president Olivier Letang is reportedly in regular contact with Terrier and had already tried to bring the 29-year-old to the club during previous transfer windows. Even so, an agreement may be difficult because of Bayer Leverkusen’s position and the financial implications of any potential move.
