Details of the Surgery
Earlier this week, Thuram visited renowned knee specialist Bertrand Sonnery-Cottet in Lyon and surgery was deemed the most appropriate course of action. The arthroscopic operation is intended to address degeneration of the cartilage on the underside of the kneecap.
The French international did not feature in any Juventus pre-season friendlies, having spent most of the summer training individually, separate from his teammates.
