Tottenham Leave Richarlison Out of Premier League Plans
Richarlison’s future at Tottenham has been thrown into further doubt after the Brazil forward was omitted from the club’s Premier League squad.
The 29-year-old has not been registered for top-flight fixtures for the first half of the season, with Tottenham understood to have made clear before Tuesday’s transfer deadline that he was not part of their plans for the campaign.
Spurs manager Roberto de Zerbi said last week that Richarlison had asked to leave the club. A return to former side Everton appeared to be close before the deadline, but the proposed move collapsed.

Trabzonspor Interest Emerges as Other Windows Stay Open
Richarlison is now expected to leave Tottenham in the coming days. According to Sportingpedia sources, Trabzonspor have made an offer for the Brazilian, with the transfer window in Türkiye still open. ESPN Brazil reports that Mohamed Salah has personally called Richarlison to convince him to join Trabzonspor.
Richarlison is currently training with Tottenham Hotspur’s U21’s and is said to be open to the move, but Spurs have rejected a €20M offer.
Recent Match Involvement and De Zerbi’s Comments
Richarlison started in Tottenham’s defeat to Brentford in the opening Premier League match of the season. However, he was not included in De Zerbi’s squad when Spurs were beaten 2-0 at home by Newcastle United on Saturday.
After the game, De Zerbi said: “Richarlison, I don’t know. He said too many times he wants to leave.”
Earlier in August, the Tottenham manager said the Brazilian was uncertain about his future, adding that “It’s not easy to find another striker like Richarlison”.
Tottenham have since brought in Manchester City striker Omar Marmoush on loan, and he replaced Richarlison against Newcastle.
Richarlison’s Tottenham Record and Contract Situation
Richarlison joined Tottenham from Everton in the summer of 2022, having previously moved to Everton from Watford in 2018.
He has entered the final year of his contract at the London club. Despite his current position outside the Premier League squad, he was a significant contributor last season, finishing as Tottenham’s leading league scorer with 11 goals in 32 appearances. He also supplied four assists and was a key figure as Spurs battled to secure Premier League survival, which was confirmed on the final day.
