Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho

    Key Takeaways:

  • Jadon Sancho has agreed to join Napoli, but the Italian club have yet to finalise terms with Manchester United
  • United are asking for €25 million despite the winger having just one year left on his contract
  • Sancho recorded 5 goals and 10 assists in 42 games during his loan spell at Chelsea last season

Italian champions Napoli have reached an agreement with Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho, according to Gianluca Di Marzio. The 25-year-old wide attacker has agreed to move to the Maradona stadium, but the Partenopei and the Red Devils are still negotiating the transfer fee.

Manchester United are demanding €25 million for Sancho, even though the player has only one year left on his current contract. Napoli are not prepared to pay that amount, and talks between the two clubs are continuing.

Last season, Sancho spent a loan spell at Chelsea. He scored 5 goals and provided 10 assists in 42 appearances across all competitions. Chelsea, however, declined to sign him permanently, paying United £5 million for the loan instead. Sancho has also played for Borussia Dortmund earlier in his career.

Napoli have already signed Kevin De Bruyne this summer but do not intend to stop there. The Serie A champions are aiming for a strong Champions League run and a successful defence of their domestic title.
