Liverpool have already strengthened their squad with Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz. Goalkeeper Armin Pechi was also signed for a symbolic fee from the Puskas Academy. Giorgi Mamardashvili will also join the team this summer, having been purchased from Valencia a year ago. The English champions are expected to add two more players before the end of the transfer window — a centre forward and a central defender.
Meanwhile, West Bromwich Albion have signed Nat Phillips from Liverpool on a three-year contract. The central defender, a product of the Merseyside club’s academy, departs his boyhood team after making 29 appearances. Phillips spent last season on loan at Derby County, where he featured in 32 Championship matches. The two clubs have not disclosed the transfer fee, but the defender is reportedly valued at around £3 million.
