So far, the Merseyside club has blocked every attempt to open negotiations with potential buyers for the South American. Liverpool are not willing to part ways with Diaz easily, as their current preference is to sell Darwin Nunez instead. A departure for both players would be extremely difficult, especially after the tragic loss of Diogo Jota, which shook the club and the wider football world.
Bayern sporting director Max Eberl is continuing talks with Diaz’s representatives. There are still no agreements or official offers between the parties. A deal for Diaz looks complicated, but the Bayern board is determined to try and bring him in.
Luis Diaz’s contract with Liverpool runs for another two years. He was signed from Porto two and a half seasons ago. He has made 148 appearances for the Reds, scoring 41 goals.
