Fiorentina have officially presented Edin Dzeko as their newest signing. The 39-year-old Bosnian arrives as a free agent after his contract with Fenerbahce, where he played for the past two seasons, expired.

The former striker of Wolfsburg, Manchester City, Roma and Inter has signed a one-year contract with an option for another 12 months, which means he could feature in Italy’s top flight until the age of 41. According to the official announcement, the second year of the contract will be automatically activated next summer under certain conditions.

So far, Dzeko has scored 107 goals and provided 50 assists in Serie A, wearing the shirts of Roma and Inter. Last season, he recorded 21 goals and eight assists in 53 matches across all competitions for Fenerbahce. Bologna also expressed interest in Dzeko, but in the end he opted for La Viola.
