Napoli have instead set their sights on Lorenzo Lucca from Udinese. The Italian striker will join on loan for €9 million, with a mandatory buyout clause worth €26 million. The five-year deal between the parties is expected to be signed later this week.
Lucca scored 14 goals in 36 matches for Udinese. He has also featured five times for the Italian national team. Over the course of his career, he has played for Vicenza, Pisa, Palermo and Ajax.
