  • The deal would initially be a loan with a potential purchase obligation
  • Werder Bremen are preparing a second bid for Samuel Mbangula

Marseille are in advanced negotiations with Juventus regarding the transfer of right winger Timothy Weah to the French club, reports Fabrizio Romano.

According to the well-known journalist, the deal will be structured as a loan with an option to buy, which could become an obligation. It is still unclear what the final transfer fee will be, but Marseille already have a personal agreement in place with the player. For the 25-year-old Weah, this would mark a return to Ligue 1, where he previously played for Paris Saint-Germain and Lille before joining the Bianconeri in the summer of 2023.

Meanwhile, another Juventus winger, Samuel Mbangula, is also nearing an exit from the club. However, according to several sources, the Bianconeri have rejected Werder Bremen’s initial €8 million offer. The German club is now preparing a new bid worth between €10 and €12 million for the 21-year-old Belgian, who has already agreed to personal terms on a five-year deal with the Bundesliga side. The youngster is also being monitored by Strasbourg and Brentford.
