    Key Takeaways:

  • Benjamin Sesko has agreed a contract with Manchester United until June 2030
  • The striker has given clear preference to the Red Devils
  • Talks with RB Leipzig are ongoing as the Bundesliga side demands a higher fee

Benjamin Sesko has taken a major step towards a move to Old Trafford by fully agreeing personal terms with Manchester United. The contract is set to run until June 2030, following up on earlier reports that the Slovenian striker had made it clear that United were his preferred destination.

What remains unresolved is the transfer fee. Talks between Manchester United and RB Leipzig are still ongoing, with the German side reportedly holding out for a higher fee before sanctioning the sale.

Earlier today, David Ornstein reported that the Red Bulls have accepted Newcastle’s offer worth €82.5 million plus €2.5 million in bonuses. Manchester United have submitted a bid of €75 million plus €10 million in bonuses. That offer from the Red Devils has not yet been accepted, but given the player’s desire to join the Old Trafford club, British media expect the two sides to reach an agreement very soon.
