Perri poised for Torino despite Marseille intervention

Marseille look set to miss out on Lucas Perri, with the Leeds United goalkeeper expected to move to Torino on loan until the end of the season. The deal is reported to include an option to buy and structured as a €1m loan with a €14m buy option clause.

Marseille attempted to hijack Torino’s pursuit of the 28-year-old Brazilian international, but that late move has not succeeded. The former Lyon stopper is said to have accepted the Torino proposal, and formal steps are now expected to follow.

Torino’s move had stalled when OM entered the race, but Perri has decided that a switch to Turin is the best next step after a difficult spell in West Yorkshire with Leeds. As a result, the Ligue 1 club will have to turn its attention to alternative goalkeeping targets.

Adarabioyo emerges as another Marseille target

Marseille are also among the clubs interested in signing Chelsea defender Tosin Adarabioyo before the end of the summer transfer window. The 28-year-old former Fulham centre-back is attracting strong interest, with a departure from Stamford Bridge appearing increasingly likely.

Adarabioyo has been on the periphery of Xabi Alonso’s squad following another busy recruitment drive by the West London club. Chelsea have confirmed the summer arrival of French international defender Maxence Lacroix, 26, from Crystal Palace, further shaping the defensive picture at Stamford Bridge.

Adarabioyo was also absent from Chelsea’s squad to face Real Sociedad in their final pre-season friendly before the new season begins. Marseille are not alone in their interest, with Benfica also registering an interest in the centre-back. It remains unclear which move the Englishman currently favours.

Todibo agreement reported as OM assess further moves

Alongside their interest in Adarabioyo, recent reports claim Marseille have reached a verbal agreement with Jean-Clair Todibo. OM are said to have accelerated in recent hours to convince the defender to join the club.

The French club are now trying to reach an agreement with West Ham over a loan. However, Todibo’s potential arrival at Marseille is also dependent on certain exits.
