Roma Secure Mora After Pursuing Attacking Reinforcements
Roma have confirmed the permanent signing of 19-year-old Portuguese attacking midfielder Rodrigo Mora from FC Porto, completing a deal that adds another forward option to Gian Piero Gasperini’s squad before the summer transfer window closes.
The Giallorossi had been working on the move for several weeks, with Gasperini having publicly called for further attacking additions. Mora now becomes part of Roma’s first-team plans at the Stadio Olimpico, where he will wear the no.86 shirt in his first season. The agreement carries an initial cost of €25m. At that valuation, Porto have retained a 50% sell-on clause.

Mora’s Porto Record and 2024-25 Breakthrough
Mora leaves Porto with 80 competitive senior appearances across all competitions to his name. During that spell, he contributed 16 goals and six assists for the Dragoes.
His 2024-25 league campaign was especially productive, as he scored 10 times in 23 appearances in the Portuguese top flight. That output forms part of the profile Roma have targeted as they reshape their attacking options.
Club Confirmation from Roma
Roma announced the transfer through their official website, www.asroma.com, with the club welcoming the player to the Italian capital.
“The Club is delighted to announce the arrival of Rodrigo Mora from Porto,” read a statement on the Roma website.
Roma’s attacking recruitment is also set to include Malick Fofana. The transfer has been fully completed at 35 M€, but the winger will first play the return leg of Lyon’s Champions League play-off against Fenerbahce before leaving. Once that match has been played, Fofana will travel to Rome to complete the next stage of his move.
Koné Interest Builds as Roma Set Their Valuation
Roma are also facing interest in Manuel Koné. Manchester United will submit a new offer for the French midfielder, but Roma will not study any proposal below 50 M€.
Chelsea also remain attentive to the situation surrounding Koné, keeping the midfielder on their radar as Roma maintain their price level.
