Ricci Nears Como Move As Milan Finalise Terms
Samuele Ricci is close to leaving Milan for Como, with the two clubs now refining the last elements of a transfer for the Italy international midfielder, according to the latest updates on Thursday morning.
The framework of the agreement is already in place. Ricci is set to move to Cesc Fabregas’s side on an initial season-long loan, with Como also securing an option to buy. Como are expected to pay the player’s salary in full for the duration of the loan spell.
No exact transfer fee has been made public. However, Sportingpedia sources indicate the clubs are discussing a total package in the region of €22m, combining the cost of the loan arrangement and the option to buy.

Ricci only joined Milan from Torino during the previous summer transfer window in 2025, in a deal reported to be worth €23m plus add-ons. Although he was included in Milan’s matchday squad for all 38 Serie A matches last season, regular starts proved difficult to secure. The 25-year-old made just 11 appearances in the starting XI, with competition coming from Luka Modric, Adrien Rabiot, Youssouf Fofana and Ardon Jashari.
Milan Take Firm Stance On Gimenez, Fofana And Tomori
Milan have also made their position clear on Santiago Gimenez, Youssouf Fofana and Fikayo Tomori. The trio are not part of the club’s plans for the 2026-27 season, and the latest updates claim that the Rossoneri are ready to exclude them from the first-team environment if they fail to leave before the end of the summer transfer window.
Christopher Nkunku had also been placed in the same category, but he has since returned to RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga. Rafael Leao, meanwhile, also appears to be moving towards an exit.
For Tomori, the club require a permanent sale because he is now in the final year of his contract at San Siro. Gimenez and Fofana have longer contracts, meaning a loan deal with an option or obligation to buy remains possible for either player.
The three players have not been named in Milan’s squad list for the 2026-27 season and have not been assigned squad numbers.
