Fiorentina Line Up Gnonto For First Serie A Spell
Wilfried Gnonto is close to beginning the first Serie A chapter of his career, with Fiorentina reportedly reaching an agreement to take the Italy international from Leeds United on a season-long loan deal.
Fiorentina have agreed a loan arrangement with an option to buy. La Viola are also expected to pay the player’s salary in full for the duration of the loan. The 13-time Italy international is expected to travel to Tuscany for his medical examination and to sign his contract by Monday evening, according to the latest reports.
Although Gnonto was born in Italy and spent eight years in Inter’s youth system, he has not previously played in Serie A. Kean Cleared For Como Medical After €40m Agreement
Moise Kean is on the brink of completing his move to Como, as Fiorentina have given the Italy international permission to travel for his medical.
Como have pursued Kean for much of the summer transfer window and have now reached an agreement with Fiorentina worth a total of €40m. The package is made up of €35m in guaranteed fees and up to €5m in bonuses.
The transfer had been waiting on Fiorentina securing a replacement. That step now appears to have been taken, with the Viola set to welcome former Udinese striker Beto from Everton.
According to Sportingpedia sources, Beto’s arrival has enabled Fiorentina to approve Kean’s exit. Kean is now expected to complete a medical with Como before the summer transfer window closes on September 1.
Kean will link up with Cesc Fabregas and his Como squad for the club’s first ever season in the Champions League in 2026-27. Como’s fixture list includes a trip to Barcelona, as well as home matches against PSG and Manchester United.
