Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker has received a £8,000 ($10,800) fine from the FA after an incident involving the electronic substitution board at the end of last month’s Premier League meeting with Nottingham Forest.
The Brazilian’s frustration came after a 2-2 draw in which Liverpool had been involved in a contentious phase of play. Following the final whistle, the 33-year-old walked past the substitution board, which had been placed on the ground outside the tunnel. Footage shared on social media showed Alisson kicking the board and damaging the equipment.
The FA confirmed that the Liverpool goalkeeper accepted the charge and was handed the standard punishment.

“It was alleged that the goalkeeper acted in an improper manner around the tunnel area after the final whistle. Alisson Becker subsequently accepted the charge against him and received the standard penalty,” an FA spokesperson said on X.
Penalty Flashpoint Adds Context To Alisson’s Frustration
Alisson had already been booked earlier in the match after disputing matters with the referee. The disagreement followed an episode in which the fourth official did not have the electronic board ready for Andoni Iraola’s triple substitution while the score was 1-1 after about 70 minutes.
Nottingham Forest then restarted play quickly with a throw-in. Neco Williams drove into the Liverpool penalty area and Alisson brought him down, with the referee awarding Forest a penalty. Morgan Gibbs-White converted from the spot to put the visitors 2-1 ahead at Anfield.
