Bologna’s Thiago Motta wins Serie A Coach of the Month again

Thiago Motta, the mastermind leading Bologna from the sidelines, has been named Serie A’s Coach of the Month for second time in a row, highlighting his team’s outstanding performance. Bologna currently find themselves in an admirable 4th spot in the Serie A standings, boasting 58 points, sitting three points clear of their closest challenger for Champions League spot – Roma.

In March, the team showcased its mettle by securing two wins from three matches, with their only loss coming at the hands of the league leaders, Inter. Notably, Bologna’s defense has been particularly stingy, not allowing more than a single goal in any of their last 9 matches. They have managed to keep six clean sheets during this stretch, a clear sign of the solid foundations Motta has built.

Motta’s excellent spell at Bologna has not gone unnoticed beyond Italy’s borders and major European clubs are now eyeing him for the next season. Juventus and Milan in Italy, as well as giants like Bayern Munich and Manchester United, have all been linked with the former midfielder.

Next up for Motta and his team is a clash with Monza on Saturday. After a surprising 0:0 draw away to Frosinone last week, Bologna is keen to get back to winning ways. Motta’s tactical acumen and the team’s hunger for victory promise an exciting match ahead.
