Euro 24 Preparations: Portugal defeats Finland, Italy held to a goalless draw

Portugal defeated Finland 4:2 in a friendly game played on Tuesday. Ruben Dias and Diogo Jota gave the Portuguese side a comfortable two-goal lead before the half-time break. Bruno Fernandes extended Portugal’s lead 10 minutes inside the 2nd period, before Teemu Pukki scored twice between the 73rd and 77th minutes to make the final period of the match more intense. Bruno Fernandes completed the score with his 2nd goal on the night in the 84th minute. Portugal has one more friendly meeting before the start of Euro 2024, scheduled for 11th of June against Ireland.

In another friendly clash on Tuesday, serving as a preparation for the continental tournament, the reigning European champions from Italy were held to а 0:0 draw by Turkiye. Ireland defeated Hungary 2:1, Austria prevailed over Serbia with the same score, and Switzerland trashed Estonia 4:0. Slovenia won 2:1 against Armenia, while Romania and Bulgaria were unable to score and finished in a 0:0 draw.
