Atalanta secures De Ketelaere on permanent transfer, eyes Zaniolo next

After clinching the Europa League title and securing a spot in the Champions League next season, Atalanta is already busy working on their transfer plans. The club is making strategic moves to strengthen the squad, securing Charles De Ketelaere’s permanent move from AC Milan, and looking at the possibility of adding Nicolo Zaniolo to the team.

Atalanta has agreed on terms with AC Milan to keep Charles De Ketelaere at the club. The Belgian forward, who spent last season on loan at Atalanta, impressed with 14 goals and 11 assists in 50 matches across all competitions. Atalanta has decided to activate the buy option, finalizing the deal at €22 million plus bonuses. The agreement will see De Ketelaere join Atalanta on a permanent basis, further bolstering their attacking options.

The Europa League winners have also entered the race to sign Nicolo Zaniolo, a player who has also attracted interest from Villarreal. The Italian club has made contact and included him on their shortlist, signaling their serious intent. With Villarreal having already held direct talks for Zaniolo, the competition heats up, and a decision on the player’s side is expected soon.
