Ederson agrees terms with Al-Nassr, Stefan Ortega to become Manchester City’s starting goalkeeper

Manchester City are bracing for a potential change between the posts as talks continue regarding Ederson’s move to the Saudi Pro League. Ederson has been in discussions with Saudi clubs since May, particularly Al-Nassr, and has agreed to personal terms on a lucrative contract. The proposed deal with Al-Nassr would see Ederson earning €30 million per year until 2026, with an option for an additional season.

City remain firm in their stance, allowing Ederson the freedom to leave if he wishes. The club is currently awaiting an official bid from Al-Nassr or other interested Saudi clubs. Should the move materialize, Stefan Ortega will be promoted as Manchester City’s first-choice goalkeeper.

The Brazilian goalkeeper has been a cornerstone of Manchester City’s success since joining from Benfica in 2017 for €40 million. His exceptional skills as a sweeper-keeper have been integral to City’s playing style, adding control and precision to their game.

Ederson’s contributions have been monumental, helping City secure every major trophy in club football. His legacy includes multiple Premier League titles, FA Cups, League Cups, and a coveted Champions League trophy.
